The Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) was established under Ordinance, Cap 321 of the laws of Hong Kong, in 1960. The objectives of the FHKI are:
Hong Kong Automation Technology Council (HKATC) was established in 2015 as Group 32 under the auspices of the FHKI , which includes enterprises specializing in production and process automation, related electrical and electronic systems, automation software and robotics. HKATC consists of expertise from different backgrounds, aims at leveraging the opportunity to work with other members to enhance communications and co-operations. Through seminars, visits and other activities organised by the FHKI, the council provides members with suitable automation solutions to complement intelligent manufacturing.
Hong Kong Automation Technology Council, under the auspices of the FHKI, has successfully applied the "Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales" (Organisation Support Programme) to commence a 2-year project titled ‘Hong Kong Automation Industry – Promote the branding of “Hong Kong Automation” and assisting industry players to explore the industrial automation market in China’. The project aims to build the image of “Hong Kong Automation Industry”, enhance industry knowledge and technologies in tapping into the Mainland market, and create business opportunities and networking platform with various industries in the Mainland. In this project, a series of activities including setting up Hong Kong Pavilion at selected Mainland exhibition, large scale international automation forum and mission to the Mainland will be organised.
